Cold veins As humans we are no longer sufficiently connected to our source of life and to Mother Nature. I am aware of this and long for harmony. Life outside is not comfortable. It requires knowledge, will and a positive attitude. It's about living in the moment, learning to enjoy and appreciate the little things. The river Meuse was my faithful companion. She carried me from just after the source at Neufchateau in France to the sea at Hellevoetsluis in the Netherlands. Almost 900 km through France, Belgium and the Netherlands. A month on the water, in winter, with temperatures as low as minus 10 degrees. This film is a small glimpse of what I experienced. Thank you la Meuse for letting me travel with you! You showed me so much. I have learnt from you and I am grateful that, apart from a few scary moments, scratches, frostbite and material losses, I finished this adventure in one piece. This trip has shaped me. A special thank you goes to Maarten, who joined me for two days of paddling, Margot for her unwavering support and friendship, Jonas for his great help with editing, my parents and my family, Norm, Klaus and the Sunova team for the great advice, design and customization of this beautiful expedition board.
