The Monsoon Palace is also known as the Sajjangarh Palace, it is a majestic fort perched on top of a hill overlooking the city of Udaipur. The palace is situated at a height of 3100 feet above sea level, and its location provides breathtaking views of the Aravalli hills, Fateh Sagar Lake, and the city of Udaipur. The palace is spread over an area of 5 kilometers and is surrounded by a wildlife sanctuary, which is home to various species of animals and birds. The architecture of the Monsoon Palace is a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal styles. The palace has large windows and balconies that provide spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. It has been converted into a museum that displays artifacts and exhibits that showcase the rich history and culture of Rajasthan. The Monsoon Palace has a rich history and was used by the royal family as a hunting lodge during the monsoon season. The palace was also used as a vantage point to observe the movement of the monsoon clouds and predict the rainfall. Monsoon Palace is open to visitors from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm and can be reached by road or by trekking up the hill. The best time to visit the palace is during the monsoon season, from July to September when the palace is engulfed in clouds and mist, providing a surreal and breathtaking view.
