Realmente fantástica la XII Jornada Quirúrgica SportMe y II SportMe Academy celebrada el pasado 23 de Septiembre de 2022 en SportMe Medical Center de Sevilla (España) centrada en la “Prótesis Total de Muñeca” y contando con la participación de uno de Cirujanos mas prestigiosos de mano y muñeca a nivel mundial como es el Dr. Alejandro Badía del Badia Hand to Shoulder Center (Miami, Florida USA) Tras una bienvenida y presentación del caso clínico por parte del Dr. Bernáldez -una paciente con secuela de traumatismo (Artrosis de muñeca postraumática)-, se precedió a la cirugía en el quirófano de SportMe medical center don de los cirujanos asistentes comprobaron de primera mano como el Dr. Badia iba desarrollando la técnica quirúrgica e implanto una prótesis radio-carpiana Remotion (Stryker) sin ninguna complicación. La paciente fue dada de alta a la hora, sin dolor y muy agradecida con todo el equipo. Destacar la labor del Anestesista (D. Diego Villegas) al realizar técnica loco-regionales ecoguiadas que permiten no dormir al paciente, que no tenga dolor y pueda ser alta de forma precoz. A la Dra. Pilar Escandón de Málaga (2º cirujano), a Jessi (una de las mejores instrumentistas que conocemos), a Rocío, al Dr. Miguel Cuadros que aportó su gran experiencia y buen hacer, a la casa Stryker, y a todo el equipo SportMe Medical Center y SportMe AcadeMy por su excelente profesionalidad y organización. A continuación, hubo una sesión clínica discutiendo casos clínicos y posteriormente un almuerzo con un fantástico ambiente, con varios miembros del GAMA (Dra. After a welcome and presentation of the clinical case by Dr. Bernáldez - a patient with sequelae of trauma (post-traumatic wrist osteoarthritis) -, the surgery was preceded in the operating room of SportMe medical center where the attending surgeons saw first hand how Dr. Badia was developing the surgical technique and implanted a Remotion (Stryker) radio-carpal prosthesis without any complications. The patient was discharged within the hour, without pain and very grateful to the whole team. To highlight the work of the anesthesiologist (Mr. Diego Villegas) in performing loco-regional ultrasound-guided techniques that allow the patient not to sleep, not to have pain and to be discharged early.
