De Buris è il lusso del tempo: un progetto enologico della Famiglia Tommasi, che nel rispetto della tradizione, ha creato un Amarone Riserva e un Valpolicella Classico Superiore che sono la più contemporanea interpretazione del territorio che rappresentano. L’obiettivo si eleva e si completa con ricerche ed analisi geologiche e storiche approfondite per meglio definire le radici del progetto stesso, individuando il “battito” della vigna che ci riporta, come un prezioso e longevo testimone, alle origini del progetto, della storia di un luogo e di una famiglia. Le “radici” geologiche del vigneto La Groletta raccontano una storia complessa e diversificata che inizia 170 milioni di anni fa: una ”danza” di movimenti tettonici che custodiscono e testimoniamo gli ambienti marini che si sono succeduti e la formazione di questo particolare sottosuolo strettamente connesso con l’innalzamento della Catena Alpina e dei Monti Lessini, ma anche con la storia del Fiume e del ghiacciaio dell’Adige. La Villa De Buris trova le sue origini in un insediamento signorile medioevale (corte turrita -XIII sec), diviene poi una Domus Scaligera (XIV sec.) che nel Cinquecento assume la funzione di casa dominicale, rappresentando tutt’ora in Valpolicella l’esempio più rilevante di Palazzo urbano con portico terreno. In questi secoli la Villa e chi la viveva, hanno assistito ad un lento e continuo progresso agricolo, vinicolo, commerciale e artigianale; le giornate erano scandite dai rintocchi delle campane e le attività agricole erano legate alle feste ed alle date dei Santi. --------- english below De Buris is the luxury of time: a wine project by the Tommasi family, who, respecting tradition, created an Amarone Riserva and a Valpolicella Classico Superiore which are the most contemporary interpretation of the territory they represent. The objective is elevated and completed with in-depth geological and historical research and analysis to better define the roots of the project itself, identifying the "beat" of the vineyard which takes us back, as a precious and long-lived witness, to the origins of the project, of the history of a place and a family. The geological "roots" of the La Groletta vineyard tell a complex and diversified story that begins 170 million years ago: a "dance" of tectonic movements that preserve and bear witness to the marine environments that have followed one another and the formation of this particular, closely connected subsoil with the rise of the Alpine Chain and the Lessini Mountains, but also with the history of the Adige River and glacier. Villa De Buris has its origins in a medieval noble settlement (turreted courtyard - 13th century), then it became a Domus Scaligera (14th century) which in the 16th century took on the function of a manor house, still representing the example in Valpolicella today more relevant than an urban building with a ground portico. In these centuries the Villa and those who lived there have witnessed a slow and continuous agricultural, wine, commercial and artisanal progress; the days were marked by the ringing of bells and the agricultural activities were linked to the holidays and the dates of the Saints.
