Ever wondered how non-Newtonian fluids work? Want to make some fun slimes from ingredients you can find in the kitchen? Join me, Alastair the Kitchen Chemist, as I show you how to make your own gooey slimes at home, and explain the science along the way! Cornstarch non-Newtonian Fluid Recipe 1/2 cup of cornstarch 1/2 cup of water Food colouring Add cornstarch and water until you get the mixture to a honey-like consistency (about 10 parts cornstarch to 1 part water) White Glue non-Newtonian Fluid Recipe 1/2 cup white glue 1/4 cup of water 1/4 teaspoon baking soda Food colouring Add contact lens solution a little at a time (up to 1 tbsp) Mix all of the ingredients in well and work the slime to combine.
