Imperator Caesar Nerva Traianus Divi Nervae filius Augustus (98–117 CE) Emperor Trajan extended the Roman Empire to the East, which became the greatest extent of borders in Roman era. After his death in 117 CE much of the territory he conquered slowly shrinked under other Emperors. Under his rule much of the road systems, bridges, aqueducts, baths have been improved and expanded throughout the Empire. Including building a new forum with Trajan's Pantheon dedicated to all the Roman gods, Trajan's market and Trajan's Colummn (35 meters tall) to commemorate his successful Dacian campaign defeating the King Decebalus. The monument is still in good shape and can be seen in Rome. Trajan was one of the most philanthropic leaders who inforced extensive public building programs and implementing social welfare policies, which earned him a reputation as the second most favourable imperator among the Five Good Emperors over the era of peace and prosperity within the Roman Empire.
