This was the time when the construction of Faizan-e-Madinah was in progress and Ameer-Ahl-e-Sunnat used to deliver speeches and he would deliver a speech almost in every weekly Ijtima. One day he said in his speech, ‘When I arrived at home today and picked up my slippers, I felt some weight in the slippers. So, when I saw the slippers.’ Since they're used to be such slippers which had some holes in the sole, so Ameer-Ahl-e-Sunnat said, ‘There was a pebble stuck in the hole of the slipper’s sole—which are generally called crushed stones and are used in construction— so I recalled that since the construction of Faizan-e-Madinah is in progress and when we walked through the site, definitely this crushed stone would be lying somewhere. And as I trod on it, it would have got stuck in my slipper and has been brought home with me. Anyway, I pulled it out, washed it and kept it in my pocket. And I came back to Faizan-e-Madinah and put it in the crushed stones.’ Then he said to the Islamic brothers, ‘Nowadays, such slippers are commonly used and there are thousands of people who attend the Ijtima. So if everyone takes even a single stone with him, I don’t know how many trucks of the stones they would have taken away. So, when you have walked through the street of Faizan-e-Madinah, please check your slippers lest you should take some stones with you.’ So, this has always been his beautiful habit.
