Link for the Coffee above 🔶 Equipement I use: The Piano is a Kawai Es110 keyboard There’s a led strip connected to the keyboard via a software to make the keys ‘light up’ I record in Ableton. The sound is my preferences in the settings on their grand piano pack. Visuals in Seemusic Edited in Davini Resolve I recently heard the Prague Philharmonic's recording of the Nino Rota's incredible Romeo and Juliet score, and I really fell in love with their rendition of the love theme. It's beautiful, emotional and represents perfectly the story of Romeo and Juliet. I also realize that I could not find online any piano arrangement of the original score. Most piano covers are of the Henry Mancini rewrite of the theme that became extremely popular in 1969, one year after the release of the movie. People also seem to get them mixed up, crediting Mancini for the creation of the theme, but that credit belongs to Rota. Also, and this is my own opinion here, but Henry's version is a bit too rhythmic, and follows the tempo too much. It should be more free in my opinion. It also skips over the middle second of the track, and replaces it with a new invented section, although whildly inspired by the main theme. But I think the middle section of Rota is very beautiful and it also makes the come back to the love theme that much more impactful. And so I worked based off the Prague Philharmonic's recording and also the original scene from the film, when Romeo and Juliet first meet. Although, yes Henry's version is very beautiful, I don't think anything can beat Nino Rota's original idea.
