Virtual Hike of TABLE TOP MOUNTAIN | Toowoomba's Most Popular Hike

Meewah (Table Top Mountain, Toowoomba) is only a short trail but what it lacks in length it makes up for in elevation. From the carpark you immediately start to ascend a very steep rocky trail which rises to a beautiful view of Meewah. From there you descend a short distance before once again hiking up a very rocky path to the scramble. You can pick your own route up the scramble and ascend to the very top a number of ways. You'll be rewarded with fantastic views of Toowoomba and the surrounding area. If you decide to hike this trail you'll need a decent level of fitness and be sure footed. Turn the volume down if my breathing sounds are too much (it was a very tough hike!). The climb itself can be quite demanding with a lot of large steps over the Camel's Hump and a scramble just before the summit. But the reward at the top, with a circuit all the way around, provides a spectacular vista. Table Top is an area of high significance to the Traditional Owners, recognised in the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Register and protected under the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2003.
