I use arrow keys to turn because I started out playing like that and I never really thought to switch because I got pretty good at it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "How exactly does your playing method work? Do you ONLY use arrow keys?" "You use ___ that's not arrow keys!!!" Aside from the up/down arrows for moving and right/left arrows for turning: A and D keys are used to move sideways. (duh) I and O keys are used to zoom in and out if needed. (also duh) Alignment keys are used for camera alignment AND certain jumps where it's more consistent/possible for me to land than using just arrow keys to turn. I sometimes use W for forward movement in cases where my right hand is occupied with the left alignment key (can’t easily reach and use up arrow) I don't have PgUp/PgDown keys, so for camera turning in the y-axis direction, I do use trackpad. Trackpad is NOT used to help turn for any jumps however cuz I find the turning to be inconsistent. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Please get a mouse bro 🥀😭” Along with the fact that this is the method I'm used to/I like playing with, this would actually be impossible for me cuz I use my middle finger for the D key and index finger for space since I usually don’t need to use W and S. (If I do need W, I shift my left ring finger over from A to W) Getting a mouse would force me to adjust and use WASD with middle finger controlling W/S, index for D, and thumb for space, which feels unnatural for me, but I can't move forwards otherwise. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I added a keyboard overlay this vid to show how I play in more detail but I’ve also recorded TRIA.os handcams where there's no alignment keys so it's just arrow keys + A and D. (+occasional trackpad y-axis camera adjustments) • Handcams/Keyboard Cams ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Follow Flex Gamingxx: Discord (please join to stay updated): / discord Twitter: bit.ly/flexgamingtwitter
