This year, the event takes place in Porto Seguro, with 800 athletes from 30 different indigenous groups competing in traditional sports such as spear throwing, archery, and pirogue racing. Meet the Matis people, also called the Jaguar Men for their cat adornments, who travel 6000 kilometers across Brazil to give a blowpipe demonstration and participate in a bow and arrow competition.
