He is the owner of the Assaf Eye and Lasik Center and a phaco-refractive consultant at Al-Watany Eye Hospital. With over 2,000 cataract surgeries annually—30% involving premium intraocular lenses (IOLs)—and more than 1,000 refractive procedures, he is a global leader in advanced cataract and refractive surgery. His specialties include femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, presbyopia-correcting IOLs, and complex anterior segment reconstruction. Prof. Dr. Assaf is a frequent speaker at international congresses and has received several prestigious awards, including the Kelman Lecture Award in 2023. Tune in!
