It’s finally that time of year again—the most wonderful (and busiest) season in Hong Kong! Join me for a productive prep week as I get everything ready for the Year of the Horse. 🧧✨ We are starting this journey with a very important tradition: heading to Che Kung Temple for a thanksgiving ritual to Tai Sui. It is the perfect way to close out the old year and clear the path for new beginnings. In this vlog, we are: 🧹 Cleaning & Decluttering: The annual cleaning ritual to sweep away the old luck. 🖌 Calligraphy & Painting: Getting creative for the new year! I’m practicing Chinese calligraphy to write my own Fai Chun (good luck scrolls) and doing some Chinese ink painting of Horses to celebrate the upcoming zodiac year. 🌸 Decorating: Freshening up the home with flowers and handmade decorations. 🥧 Festive cooking: Homemade Turnip Cakes (the must-have CNY snack!) 🏮 Mall-Hopping: Checking out the stunning Chinese New Year decorations around Hong Kong’s malls! (You might remember I did a Christmas decor tour—now it’s time for the CNY version!)
