Did you already know this tidbit from Scripture!? This absolutely blew my mind 🤯 Apparently is a common existing theory put forth by Biblical scholars called the "Harmonization" School (The "Incremental Call" Theory). Huh... the more you know 😆 But even more so than just building up Biblical knowledge, it's about how His Word shaped us in our daily lives. Knowing this truth about Jesus' character combined with tangibly experiencing Him gently and lovingly receive you time and time again when you don't deserve even an ounce of it... that? That transforms a person. That's the beauty of the Gospel. We, in our spiritual bankruptcy, can do nothing apart from Jesus. Originally doomed to spiritual death, even our best good works would land us in the same place. AND YET God loves us so much that He sent His beloved Son to die on the cross as a perfect sacrifice for OUR sins so that us sinners may be reconciled to a holy God. And when God looks at us, He doesn't see our sinfulness, but our sinful nature is fully covered by the perfect blood of Jesus 😭 This doesn't mean that we won't have troubles. In fact, Jesus guarantees it. But He also guaranteed His presence would always be with us... that we wouldn't necessarily STOP sinning given our nature, but that the power of sin no longer has a hold on us. Don't you get it!? Following Jesus isn't about morality or doing spiritual things to impress Him. It is recognizing our helplessness apart from Him and not being ashamed of it. Because Jesus has stripped the power of sin forever. What once brought us shame and death now, through Jesus, can be used for our good to draw nearer to our Savior. That, my friend, is the beautiful, beautiful hope that we can have in Christ. Literally nothing can separate us from His love. (I know that this video and caption are longer than what all the content creator gurus tell me to do... there's no hook, no transitions, just... the simplicity of God's truth. This isn't meant to get more followers. If just one person watches and reads this and is encountered by Jesus, then that's all that matters). #christianwomen #gospel #christianencouragement #scripture #godsword #godsgrace
