This video was taken by the Russian Sergeants themselves possibly for memoir purposes and gives a glimpse of how the training of fresh conscripts was conducted within the Russian army somewhere around Moscow in 1995. Most of the soldiers being trained here are at least 18 years old. Evidently, the video later got leaked and caused public outrage thus leading to the jailing of the Sergeants seen in this very video. It was quite common for older counterparts (Deds: Russian for 'grandfather') who'd been in the army for at least 2 years already to introduce the Freshmen to a new life within the army through harsh and tough methods as seen in the video. These methods, deemed as being plausibly effective, were commonly used to ironically increase 'morale' in the army during the times of the USSR (Soviet Russia) and it's Cold War communist agendas. These tactics as mentioned previously were also used in Post-Soviet Russia but died off as more ethical standards were introduced, employed and implemented by Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin when he came to power on 1st January 2000.
