Recorded on Sunday, January 27, 2019 - University of Colorado Boulder The CU Boulder Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology, in collaboration with Keystone Symposia on Molecular and Cellular Biology, proudly present Dr. Arjun Raj. ___ About the Speaker Dr. Raj works in the field of molecular systems biology, focused on understanding biology at the level of individual cells. Recently, his research has concentrated on cancer biology, understanding how the molecular differences between cells can result in different cellular behaviors, including those leading to disease and relapse. His team develops and applies a mix of cellular imaging, sequencing and related techniques to observe biological processes within single cells. Dr. Raj is an Associate Professor of Bioengineering and Genetics at The University of Pennsylvania. His lab is highly interdisciplinary, bringing together biologists, chemists, engineers, and physicists to solve problems in the realm of quantitative biology. ___ About CU Boulder Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology The Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology currently has 28 full-time tenured/ tenure-track faculty members and an outstanding, energetic research program directed toward understanding the molecular basis of life by integrating molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, and genetics.
