First time visiting Cheba Hut + First Day open to public! (Cheyenne, WY) | Optopolis

Cheba Hut opened their Cheyenne location! Today, I visit for the first time on Cheba Hut's first day! The cannabis-themed restaurant offers toasted subs and various snacks; while the food is NOT infused with CBD (and in fact, no CBD products are offered), visitors will notice the name choice for various menu items use names that relate to strains of Mary Jane. It features a huge boot made of rice crispy treats and Cheyenne-themed artwork which is displayed throughout the restaurant. This building was previously occupied by Dog Haus Biergarten. It was being built in 2019 and opened as Dog Haus around the start of February 2020, only to close around the start of March 2023. New ownership, FAFO Restaurant Group, reopened Dog Haus on June 26th, 2023, but the restaurant closed permanently around the start of October 2024. This time, the building was placed on the market. By the end of December 2024, Cheba Hut rolled in and began renovating the interior of the building for their first Wyoming restaurant. After multiple months of construction and preparation and a slightly delayed opening, Cheba Hut opened to the public at 10 AM on June 30th, 2025.
