Nintendo has been getting a bad reputation lately with the backlash from the #FreeMelee movement. Other specific issues boil down to DMCA, Etikons, The Melee Community, and more. A lot of this is justified, but a lot of it is also totally and irresponsibly blown out of proportion on Youtube and other social media in an attempt to radicalize the base and have a common enemy. The truth is that this situation is much more nuanced than it may immediately seem. Hear me out.
