Star Citizen's new Argo Moth is here — a salvage variant of the Mole with grabby claws, a cargo grid, and way more versatility than expected. First impressions and solo gameplay. It keeps the familiar Mole silhouette but swaps mining turrets for salvage claws that can fracture, disintegrate, and crunch ship hulls. The big surprise is the added cargo grid — around 200 SCU — plus a secondary lift that can hold small vehicles or valuable loot. That makes the Moth a genuine multi-role option for solo and multi-crew players. Solo gameplay in the Moth is very doable. As a pilot you can handle scraping and crunching from the bridge, eject salvage materials into boxes, and store them on the cargo grid below. The ship also comes with 16 co-pilot controlled missiles, component access panels with crafting stations, and several paint options at launch including a standout green and orange combo. There is a known bug at launch where hull scraping speed is roughly 10 percent of intended — expect a fix soon. For anyone who already loves the Mole's design, the Moth is essentially that plus more utility. The claw animations are fantastic, the cargo lift is a genuine quality of life upgrade, and the ability to do light cargo hauling alongside salvage work makes this one of the more practical medium ships in Star Citizen right now. Whether you're salvaging wrecks, running contracts, or just looking for a versatile daily flyer, the Moth earns a look.
