This is a Lunch + Learn on Green Banks with David Gibson and Catherine Culley. David Gibson is a Certified Energy Manager and LEED Accredited Professional for Building Design & Construction. He has more than a decade of experience leading energy efficiency and clean energy programs. David has transitioned two homes entirely off of fossil fuels, including the post and beam farmhouse built in 1828 that he now lives in with his wife in Morrill, Maine. David spent 8 years living in Reno, Nevada, including two years working for the Nevada Governor's Office of Energy, where he led implementation of efficiency programs statewide, including the efforts to create the Nevada Clean Energy Fund (Green Bank). He moved back to Maine in 2017 to work for ReVision Energy, where he designs solar and heat pump systems for residential customers. David has been leading efforts to create a 'Green Bank' in Maine, to make sure that funding for efficiency and clean energy projects is accessible to everyone, regardless of income level or credit score. Catherine Culley is a partner at Redfern Properties, Portland Maine's leading developer of multi-family housing. Since co-founding Redfern in 2005, Catherine has focused on energy efficient infill development and other "smart-growth" projects. Successful projects have ranged from Portland's first LEED Platinum certified home to the Hiawatha, Portland's largest apartment building. Prior to Redfern, Catherine was a co-founder and partner of CCA-Events, based in Seattle, Washington. CCA-Events was a service provider for Microsoft Corporation, delivering planning and logistics for global events. Prior to CCA-Events Catherine was an Account Executive for Activate, a pioneer in internet streaming. She began her career in commercial sales for AT&T.
