This video is a quick but still comprehensive version of a tiny piece of what we teach in our online LifeStretch course: how to assess, improve and maintain optimal breathing for better function and faster recovery in sports and in life. I suggest watching while visualizing all the assessments and exercises in the video first. Then either do them from memory or if you can’t remember, re-watch the video and stop at each exercise to fully assess, treat and re-assess yourself. Then implement the same routine with your clients in your online or live sessions. Oftentimes the both of you will discover new opportunities for progress and improved functional performance along with ongoing wellness for the long term. If you or your client try this series but still find regions of your rib cage and breathing restricted, then I suggest finding someone who has experience with soft tissue and joint manual therapy.
