The first thing to see in Amritsar is... you guessed it right, yes... the GOLDEN TEMPLE! the name itself creates excitement, right! "GOLDEN TEMPLE"! I must tell you one thing: this temple exceeded my expectations and beyond that! The structure of Gurdwaras is a mixture of Islamic architecture and Indian architecture. Sikhs don't look at it as a temple; it's more like meeting their guru, which is why all Sikh temples are called gurdwaras! The Golden Temple is seen as their central gurudwara. One more special thing! In four hundred years of history, not a single person has been rejected without food from any Gurudwara! Here in the Golden Temple, they serve food 24/7 and an average of 50,000 meals daily! Fifty thousand meals per day!
