In response, Iran launched waves of missiles and drones targeting Israel and US military bases in the region, with attacks expanding to critical infrastructure in several Gulf states. This discussion examined the implications of the war for the future security architecture of the Middle East. It assessed how the confrontation is reshaping the positions of regional actors, as well as its broader economic consequences beyond the Middle East. The debate also considered European reactions, interests and potential avenues for de-escalation.
