Industrial Designer Zack Zlevor demonstrates how he form-finds within Rhino by using Grasshopper and Kangaroo physics simulations. Kangaroo is a live physics engine for interactive simulation, form-finding, optimization, and constraint solving. It allows users to operate with physics based inputs like gravity, tensile stretching, wind and even explosives. Live simulation in the Rhino viewport allows for easy manipulation of your algorithm, to allow for fine-tuned, user friendly control. With advancements in developable surfacing, Industrial designers now have the ability to tell deeper stories with the products we create.
