Learn how to WHIP the end of a rope or make a loop

In Boy Scouts this was a necessity to learn how to whip the end of a rope. It also works if you need to make a loop at the end of a rope. It takes a little practice to make it look good but once you have the hang of it, this will be a skill you’ll use in every day life. Nowadays you can use a lighter on a piece of nylon rope to stop it from fraying, but if you have a hemp piece of rope than a method like this is a necessity. Sometimes you can dip the end of the rope into different compounds but I don’t think they look as good this way. Nothing like the good old traditional method.
