Please enjoy “The OTT Recap” In 2018 we travelled thousands of kilometets from Sydney to Far North Queensland to take on the famous Old Tele Track to stand on the very top of Australia “Cape York Peninsular” This is something every true 4x4 enthusiast must do🇦🇺 🇦🇺SEE AUSTRALIA🇦🇺 Travel & See Australia Ozi Traveller Bio No BS. Just relevant content about what we like doing & sharing with others. My view is that you don't need an expensive 4X4 to travel this great land. Travel Australia Your Way. Not everyone can afford an expensive 4x4 tourer. My 1996 NJ Diesel Turbo Pajero market value is less than A$10K. The value is in the reliability not the market value. Consider this; on a this trip to Far North Queensland including Weipa, Gulf Country and to the tip of Cape York via the Old Tele Track (OTT) traveling with friends and their fully optioned V8 Toyota 70 series Landcruser with a market value +A$100K. My old Gen2 did exactly the same trip side by side together same challenges every day without any issues. As I said, I believe the real value is in the reliability of your vehicle not the market value. Iv'e had the same mechanic, and a diesel fuel specialist since I bought the 4x4 in 2000. I do a lot of my own maintenance as I need to be able to fix most issues when traveling in remote areas. I’m not a mechanic but I've always tried to make sure my vehicles and passengers are safe and the vehicle is always ready and road worthy. I have it well maintained, take recovery gear and all necessary essentials. If you’re not confident about doing your own maintenance don’t do it, don’t follow my tips.
