The Ron-Dels - If You Really Want Me To, I'll Go

Originally issued on the Brownfield label in May of 1965, this tune was quickly picked up for national distribution where it stalled out in the lower part of the Hot 100. I'd have to blame the record label for not pushing the record well enough, as it had the potential for Top 40 status. The most interesting thing I learned by researching charts that this song appears on is that WQAM in Miami, Florida charted this song for the most weeks (while it was barely a top 40 record there) and WLS in Chicago charted the single for 4 weeks, where it stayed charting in the 20's the entire time). It charted highest at #12 on WDAK in Columbus, Georgia. Either way, the song has lived on, there are still tons of people who love the song, and here it is, off of my Smash label Promo 45. I own the Brownfield release also but it's not a promotional pressing. Enjoy!
