The Khumbu Icefall is an awe-inspiring sight - a river of ice with crevasses, seracs and giant blocks of ice, all constantly shifting and moving. From here, trekkers can get a glimpse of Mt Everest, standing tall at 8848m/29028 feet - the highest peak in the world! Trekkers will also see some of the biggest glaciers in Nepal such as Ngozumpa Glacier as they make their way through the Solu region to EBC (Everest Base Camp). At EBC (5364m/17598 feet), trekkers will be able to see firsthand how Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay made history when they became the first people ever to summit Mt Everest on 29th May 1953.
