We trek to Everest Base Camp, which starts from Jiri in Nepal. In this video we are in Nepal, trekking to Everest Base Camp. Everest on a budget, with the full costs. We travel to Gokyo lakes trek and also the Cho La Pass and Kalla Pathar. We do not fly into Lukla, we do the traditional Jiri to Everest Trek. We answer questions like, What is the Cost of the Everest Base Camp Trek and How many days does it take? It includes visits to interesting monasteries and viewpoints. - The trek starts in Jiri, and then heads to the high Khumbu Valley, and follows the classic route taken by legendary mountaineers. Once in the valley, trekkers can explore immense Sherpa culture, and visit many of the Buddhist religions. From here you can take a side trip to Solu before continuing on to Everest Base Camp. The entire route is full of spectacular views of Mount Everest, and offers hikers an amazing opportunity to explore Nepal's base camp. It is an excellent trip for those who are looking for a challenging trekking experience. The start of the trek is at Jiri which is located at an elevation of 2200 meters. Along this route you will also have a chance to learn about Sherpa culture and customs as well as visit some interesting monasteries that dot along the path. You will also be able to take in some breathtaking views of Mount Everest and other peaks in the region including Lhotse and Nuptse. The trek follows the classic Everest Base Camp route and is a great way to explore the beautiful Namche Bazaar and the surrounding areas. The journey begins with an ascent to Tengboche head before heading on to Kyanjin Gompa. From here, you will continue on to Dingboche and then Lobuche, where you can spend some time exploring the Khumbu Glacier. As you make your way up to Everest Base Camp, you will have the opportunity to take in amazing views of Mt Amadablam, as well as other peaks in the Everest range including Thamserku and Cho Oyu. Once at base camp, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Mt Everest and its surroundings. The trek then follows a different route as it leads hikers up tough Gokyo Ri peak which offers some of the best mountain views in all of Nepal. From here, people can take in stunning vistas of Cho Oyu, Pumori and other Himalayan giants such as Lhotse and Makalu. Trekkers embarking on the most popular Everest treks usually begin their journey in Kathmandu and then fly to Lukla in the Himalayan Mountains. From here, they start their EBC trek and take a route that leads through the Sherpa villages of Namche Bazaar, Tengboche and Dingboche before reaching the spectacular Khumbu Icefall. The Khumbu Icefall is an awe-inspiring sight - a river of ice with crevasses, seracs and giant blocks of ice, all constantly shifting and moving. From here, trekkers can get a glimpse of Mt Everest, standing tall at 8848m/29028 feet - the highest peak in the world! Trekkers will also see some of the biggest glaciers in Nepal such as Ngozumpa Glacier as they make their way through the Solu region to EBC (Everest Base Camp). At EBC (5364m/17598 feet), trekkers will be able to see firsthand how Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay made history when they became the first people ever to summit Mt Everest on 29th May 1953.
