How to upgrade IOS of Cisco Router using packet tracer

Hello Friends, Welcome to my YouTube channel “ Learn Network & Security”. My name is Vivek Kumar and today I’ll tell you “How to upgrade IOS of Cisco Router using Packet Tracer.” Below are the steps to follow- 1. Connect the Router to the TFTP Server, where IOS file is placed. 2. Set the IP Address of Router and TFTP Server. IP address should be of the same subnet. 3. Check the ping response from both side i.e from Router to TFTP Server and from TFTP Server to Router. 4. Switch on the TFTP service on TFTP Server. 5. Copy the new IOS image to the Router’s flash memory. 6. Set the boot variable in Router and write the configuration. 7. Reload the Router using “reload” command. 8. After reload check the “System image file name” using “show version” command. It should be new image name. Thanks for watching this video.
