Original video upload date: May 24, 2010 🎵 2022 commentary 🎵 these multiplayer updates feature myself and seven other Gamers. for this re-upload, i did my due diligence. i contacted as many of these Gamers as i could to see if they were happy for me to upload this video, and those i was able to get in touch with all said yes. unfortunately i wasn't able to contact them all. some people i have slipped out of touch with, and some people i was never really in touch with to begin with. over a decade has passed, and beyond just once posting on the same forum as eachother i don't have any further lines of communication with most of these people. if you’re one of the players in this video i wasn’t able to contact, and you’re not happy about these videos being up, or even if you just want a shoutout or crediting in the box here? contact me, i’ll make it happen. this is your first glimpse at me doing some non-subtitled gameplay updates. enjoy my voice! bask in it! or don't lol. this isn't the first time i recorded a little spoken segment, but those were oneoff gags. this is a whole ass video series. three multiplayer videos. so what do you think? i sound cute right? english accents are generally something that non English people love to hear. or so popular culture would have you believe. i don't really know why though, is not like sophisticated or intelligent or anything. not from my perspective. and i don't know why being specifically english is fetishized in that way, because nobody actually likes the english people! for good reason - we suck!!! our nation not only shot itself in the foot by choosing to leave the EU, but is using that same gun to repeatedly shoot more holes in the hull of the sinking ship we are in by repeatedly empowering the stupidest fucking tory government anyone has ever seen. i would say 'and will ever see', except i believe things can ALWAYS get worse, and that is absolutely the trajectory this fucking country is on. but yeah. english accents. that's me. i'm from the south of england so i have a kinda southern accent. not west enough to be west country, and sorta close enough to london to be a bit like estuary. not a very clear and distinct dialect, and not one that people would probably recognise if they weren't from the UK, but hey. not everywhere can be like manchester or liverpool. not every city has it's own rich linguistic identity. southampton is just kinda meh. we're an old port town, so we're kinda characterised a little bit by the rural areas we border, but also a little by the huge amounts of london tradesmen who used this as a place of business. a strange sort of melange that doesn't actually sound like much of anything. ooh la la, look at me putting my linguistic degree to work lmao. remember that i fucked up my degree education because i spent too much time making THIS LP instead of studying, so please don't treat me as someone who has any fucking idea what he's talking about. 🎵 Links & Information 🎵 This video was originally created as part of my Let’s Play of the Banjo-Kazooie series, a project that I worked on while at the SomethingAwful Forums LP Subforum in the years 2008-2010. It was originally posted to a number of video hosts such as Viddler, DailyMotion, GameVee, blip.tv. Most of those hosts are long dead now, yet I still want it to be hosted somewhere accessible for archival purposes. Hence the loooooong-delayed re-upload to YouTube. The original Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts LP ran from 18th August 2009 to 23rd June 2010, lasting 310 days and consisting of 33 videos. It was abandoned at this point and never completed.
