Bringing on a pony can't be that hard... right? No wrong. When i visited him he was the cutest thing i had ever seen. Ginger small pony with the sweetest little face. I fell in love with him straight away. He hadn't been in work for over a year and when he was in work he only did very light work - hacks, a little bit of schooling but really nothing. Within a week of him being with me we had created a bond. Whenever i went to see him his lil face would be sticking out the stable and he would neigh :)) Work started straight away. We had our falls and breaks but that never stopped me. He was always willing to learn. Within a month i had him going in an outline a little bit of leg yielding and cantering! His balance was still far from perfect but that soon came on when i started to do pole work. Within another 2 weeks we were jumping little cross poles. That's when he started to take the mick. It would never be too bad with me. Just a couple of bucks and bolts. When he used to bolt i named it the - Tango style. I spent every day of every minute with him. Whatever life was going to bring us we would get through it. I could spend hours grooming him and he wouldn't get fed up. Thats when the issues came on. The owner new i was getting on great with him. But then the saddle started to play up, why should mum spend lots of money for a new saddle when his not our pony. The owner promised she would pay us back. But no in the end we couldn't afford it. We weren't getting the help we needed. She was a bag of lies. I knew it was coming but didn't believe it would happen so quickly. I joined pony club. Every since i was little i dreamed about going to pony club. I used to watch the beautiful horses and ponies go past jumping the big jumps and looking all pretty. Never would have thought it would me someday. After that first rally the owner wanted him back. It wasn't fair. I did all i could. When they came to pick him up they were all aggressive to mum and I. After everything i did for him i didn't get one Thankyou or sorry. They were f'ing and blinding at mum. Katie and i were in a state.. we were both so angry we couldn't hold our anger in anymore so we both just cried.. . I kept telling myself i wouldn't cry as was Katie but we both did. I said my goodbyes earlier on before they got there. It wasn't enough i wanted to do more. They snatched him off me and loaded him up without letting me saying goodbye. I ran after him. I will never see him again. I guess its a better story than Stripes, I still miss my lil ginger pony. It may have been for the best considering i was too big but it shouldn't of happened that way. I love you Tango ( Ginger Ninja ) Hope you have a happy life baby :** ' Katie: Okay, this pony was such a star. I was there when he was delivered and there when he left. When he was delivered he hadn't really mixed with many other people. However Amy and I knew that he was special. We went into the outdoor school with him for an hour and he connected with the both of us straight away, he followed us everywhere - trotted when we jogged and cantered when we ran; we all had fun. We did this everytime we both were down the yard and after Amy got him into jumping we free schooled him too. Once Amy had to come to the decision of having to give him back we were both in tears as i was there when both Amy and her mum made the decision, so we went into the outdoor school and free-schooled him and jumped him 3ft and he cleared it amazingly. He was such a star yes he threw in a couple of bucks but we didn't mind even if they were near to us.. and nearly killed the both of us. Even though Tango wasn't my pony i am going to miss him terribly, he was such a star with both me and Amy in the school winding him up when we were either riding or free-schooling or messing around in his stable it didn't faze him a bit. We taught him a couple of tricks when we had nothing else to do and it became a bad habit for him, but oh well he is just amazingly cute it doesn't matter if he is a pain, it was one of the hardest things ever watching him go considering how well all three of us got on, but it was good while it lasted, bye bye Tango, love you always:')
