My initial 2 month work contract in a US hotel turned into a 12 month work and travel experience that spanned the Americas. I found work in many varying fields such as work as a farm laborer, a machinist in a factory and a hostel manager in Mexico. For me this was the first time I had ever left Africa. I did not travel in luxury, but at the time, I possessed the luxury to travel. This video forms the first part of a series of videos used to document my experience.
