The US and Russian presidents are set to discuss the ongoing war in Ukraine at a summit in Alaska. Donald Trump could invite Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky to his summit with Vladimir Putin, the White House has said. The summit to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine, which the US president announced on 8 August, remains Trump-Putin for now - but the White House reportedly said Trump is "open" to a three-way meeting.
