In this Physics video tutorial in Hindi we explained, very simply, the connection or the construction with the circuit diagram, principle and application of Meter Bridge or Slidewire Bridge. It is also wrtitten as Metre Bridge. Meter Bridge works on the principle of balanced condition of Wheatstone Bridge. The only difference between a Wheatstone Bridge and a Slidewire Bridge is that instaed of two known resistances, as in the Wheatstone Bridge, the Slidewire Bridge contains a rod / wire if a material of very high resistivity, like, constantan or manganin. And the galvanometer, in this case, is connected to that rod via a sliding jockey.
