Cultural Appropriation is a very sensitive and difficult topic to discuss. However, I decided to not to keep quiet anymore. So, here is my statement about Cultural Appropriation in Sashiko. I am not 100% sure if what I feel is “Cultural Appropriation” or not. However, the concept explains the pain when I see the word “Sashiko” in a non-related context or usage in someone’s convenience.
