Bahia de Los Angeles is still a city compared to La Gringa, only 10km from the village and accessable by 2wd sedan, motor bike or bicycle this has to be my favourite camping spot in the world. During September October and November La Gringa is a hot spot for some of natures biggest and most gentle creatures, whale sharks, to the best of my knowledge this area is the only place in the world you can drive to the beach and swim with whale sharks. As a former dive instructor I used to get on a boat that spent days getting to congregation places and this is FREE. Nature doesn’t hold back here, I was treated to whale sharks, whales, dolphins, sea lions, turtles, mobile rays and countless birds in a single average day here. Chilly and I stayed 2 months because it was too hard to leave. 12 hrs south of San Diego and 40 miles from the highway, be warned, there are no ATM’s banks or credit card facilities to get cash. Phones will not work here, there is internet at the Costa Del Sol hotel, say Hi to Victoria!
