Testing a Nikon 20mm AF-D Lens on My Z6ii — Manual Focus in the Real World!

Come along with me on a moody evening walk through downtown Crossville, Tennessee, as I test out a classic Nikon 20mm f/2.8 AF-D lens on my Nikon Zii2 mirrorless camera. This vintage lens doesn’t autofocus on mirrorless bodies, so it’s all manual focus—but thanks to focus peaking and other features in the Z6ii, I was surprised by how usable and enjoyable it is. In this video, I share my real-world experience using this lens for street and architecture photography. You’ll also see how I set up my ISO sensitivity, aperture priority mode, and focus point orientation for better results.
