I have established this DIY Desalination Unit at Thar Desert. A small unit is converting hard water (8000TDS) fresh and drinkable water. For more information please contact with me @ [email protected] Following material is required for establishing household level desalination units: 1. Polythene sheet: a. Black color polythene sheet around 1.5-meter-wide (length as per size of filter unit), b. Transparent (clear) polythene sheet around 1.5-meter-wide (length as per size of filter unit) 2. A normal paper stapler and two or three boxes of staples 3. Scissors 4. Fishing-line or string 5. An empty mineral-water bottle 6. Insulation tape 7. A drinking-water container 8. A shovel or other hand-digging tools 9. A sack of old newspapers 10. Bricks 11. Small stones 12. A tape measure 13. A bucket 14.
