HIDDEN PARADISE IN CHINA | Xiamen & Gulangyu (4K)

My most epic adventure yet. I explored Xiamen, Gulangyu and Dongshandao, opposite the Chinese province of Taiwan, with some Chinese friends. Xiamen, in Fujian province in the East China Sea, is a 4 million population island with British and European colonial roots. This place is now China's 8th biggest container port, and is home to some of China's most beautiful beaches. Gulangyu, a paradise hidden away, accessible only by ferry and where all vehicles are banned. I explored the winding alleyways and beautiful beaches, and ate as much local, freshly-caught oysters as I could. Dongshandao, we rented electric scooters/e-bikes, rode them down the East coast of China, stopping by at secluded, secret beaches, and then ate at the most idyllic spot I've encountered so far in China. A hidden paradise - night market on the sea-side, China's answer to Greece's Santorini. Which location did you like best?
