Scar Poetry, alias Priscar Njeri is a poet whose work strives to move humanity forward in healing and togetherness. Her poetry delves into the darkest parts of humanity, believing that it is in exposing ourselves, our wounds, and being our most authentic selves that we can heal as individuals and collectively. She is an award-winning poet, soon to be published, recently claiming the title of PYSK Women's Slam Champion 2024. Exploring themes of womanhood, humanity, love, war, politics, social justice, identity, and authenticity. Writing has always been her refuge, a way to make peace with the complexities of the world and envision a brighter future for us all. Greatly influenced by women and indigenous poets, Scar Poetry hopes to inspire readers to embrace their authentic selves and cultivate compassion for each other. She hopes her poetry inspires a greater sense of care for one another and serves as a reminder of our shared humanity. She has just launched her YouTube channel @Scarandherpoetry, where she hopes to share her journey as a poet and in life. Scar Poetry hopes to be remembered as someone who spoke up for the voiceless and worked to remind us of the duty we owe to each other and humanity.
