❦Welcome and thanks for stopping by❦ 📯In today's video you will learn how to make an illumination of capital letter D in the style of Medieval manuscripts. It is a step by step guided tutorial showing the whole process from start to finish. 📜There are also some interesting facts and historical information about women in Medieval times or Middle Ages, who is chatelaine or castellan, what is chatelaine keychain, Medieval businesswomen and Medieval female writers (such as Christine de Pizan, Margaret Paston, lady Brilliana Harley of Brampton castle). 📜This illumination features botanical motifs, a miniature painting of a Medieval queen or princess wearing a long robe and a blossoming tree. Traditional manuscript illumination requires expensive materials such as vellum or parchment paper.
