I had this idea for quite a long time of a cider factory being built on Duck's branch line and Duck taking on cider. Duck meets a cider maker from Somerset on The Mainland called Mr Sedgecombe, who wants to built a Cider Factory north of Arlesburgh. Duck shows him the site, and The Fat Controller brings Bernard the Dark Green Tank Engine to help with construction before his helping with the summer load. But when some troublesome youths replace the water in the water collums with cider, it is up to Bernard to rescue a drunken Duck and defend him from James' sneering remarks.
