PUCCAR: Project for Urban Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience,This is Pakistan's biggest project yet on conservation of rainwater through installation of Rainwater Harvesting Units at household and community level, implemented by Shehersaaz under the technical support of UN-Habitat and Financial Support of Adaptation Fund. Carried out in the cities of Rawalpindi and Nowshera, the project connects several interventions addressing Solid Waste Management adnd Disaster Risk Reduction. The project enhances community, local and national-level urban climate change resilience to water scarcity, caused by floods and droughts in Rawalpindi and Nowshera cities.” This video shows beneficiaries from both Rawalpindi and Nowshera and how the installations have iimpacted their communities and lifestyles respectively.
