Foreigners experience in Pune | My HONEST opinion of the city

Continuing our year long motorcycle trip around India we’ve stopped off in the busy city of Pune, Maharashtra where we spent 2 days exploring the busy city. On the first day we visited Shaniwar Wada, an old fort which was once the center of politics for India and belonged to the Maratha empire. Then we moved along to the Lal Mahal Red palace, the childhood home of the Shivaji Maharaj, before visiting the Dagdusheth Ganpati Temple, dedicated to Ganesha. After lunch we explored the Pune markets near Laxmi road to see the array of items that were available here, the market was so busy but it was a vibrant cultural experience walking through here. For the last stop of the day we visited the Agakhan palace where Ghandi, Kasturba, Mahadev Desai and Sarojini Naidu were imprisoned during the Quit India movement in 1942. The rich history and culture of India is prominent here and it features so much information about Ghandi and the work he did to free India from the British. Unfortunately the tuk tuk ride back to our hotel didn’t go as planned and we were threatened by a crazy scammer tuk tuk driver who was demanding more money, the full story time is included in the video. The next day we headed out to Sinhagad fort and we got caught in the monsoon. Soaked through, we walked around the historical monument for an hour or two before heading back to the hotel. Overall Pune was a crazy experience and I hope this video depicts it well and that you enjoyed watching it.
