Al Jazeera’s senior political analyst Marwan Bishara highlights that the ongoing talks represent the continuation of war by other means. He emphasizes the critical understanding that both Israel and Hamas must realize: they cannot achieve through diplomacy what they failed to achieve in war. In other words, Israel will not retrieve its captives without concessions, and Hamas will not see Gaza free of Israeli soldiers without making sacrifices.
