It is part of the Castlevania series and is the third title released for the GBA; This title marks a new stage in the Castlevania saga, telling the story of Count Dracula from a different point of view than we have heard. This is the first time the series has advanced in the future (taking place in the year 2035) and the second time the main character is unrelated and not directly linked to the Belmont Family. In the year 2035, the protagonist is a student named Soma Cruz, who lives near an ancient temple called Hakuba, which has strong features in Japanese mythology. One day, accompanied by Mina Hakuba, daughter of the temple keeper, he walks to watch the first eclipse of the 21st century and notices that the stairs are far away, as if they wanted to get him out of the way and then Soma faints after the arrival of a mysterious darkness and soon realizes to be inside Dracula's Castle. The game introduces several innovations: Soma Cruz does not use the famous Belmont whip, but weapons such as swords, hammers, spears, daggers and even 9mm parabellum and silver gun, as well as the Tactical Soul system, which allows Soma to absorb souls. of enemies and use magical powers, being divided into three types of souls (Bullet, Guardian and Enchant; attack, defense and status, respectively). Graham Jones, a missionary who believes it is the Dracula's reincarnation, participates as the antagonist of the game. Undoubtedly it is an excellent game that carries the Metroidvania style of being, with much exploration in Dracula's Castle.
