Perhaps the greatest challenge I've faced in my dance career is performing in a show I'm hosting. It's next to impossible to fully switch over to the dancer side of my brain and be present in the performance. In this case, I was on the mic introducing the show just 60 seconds prior, my body unprepared, my head full of a million things. This is from the pre-competition demo performance I do prior to bringing out the participating dancers of BELLY DANCE OFF -- 100% improvised, according to the theme of the event. In the spirit of making this a true demo, to show everyone how it all works, I received live judge feedback like all the other dancers.
