Alex Honnold explains the H.U.R.T. His most recent Free Solo link-up through Red Rock Canyon

In this episode of Mountain High Adventures on YouTube I interview Alex Honnold. He explains his vision of the H.U.R.T. Honnold’s Ultimate Red Rock Traverse He set out from the upper White Rock Hills Parking lot shortly after 6am on 10/10/22. After scrambling, hiking, and climbing for 32 hours he finished at highway 160 near Mountain Springs, NV, having traversed the entire Red Rock range from north to south. He covered close to 40 miles of terrain, over 24,000 feet of elevation gain (climbing), in one continuous push. He climbed 14 classic multi-pitch climbing routes all free solo. He also summited all the major mountains and countless sub-peaks throughout the range. I had the honor of joining him for about 25 of those miles hiking and scrambling. It was a joy to witness and thrill to be a part of. Hopefully there will be a nice video that comes out of the adventure, but for now, we wanted to share this interview with you all.
