I bought this Subaru WRX in fairly below average condition. The Carpets in the boot (trunk) were pretty awfull so I set about cleaning them. This video has some tips and tricks I learnt in my years of carpet cleaning and carpet laying which might help improve what you have. Being realistic "you canny make a silk purse out of a sours ear" but you sure can improve the state of it! This includes how to remove grease type stains (be very careful) and removing a bit of pilling which was aging the high wear areas a bit. I hope this is helpful! I use Chem-Dry Stain extingusher as my cleaner, I have used it for years for spot cleaning my carpets at home also.
