Dr Tom Stalcup, a physicist and investigative journalist, presents an analysis of the radar data from the TWA Flight 800 disaster. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) concluded that a fuel-air deflagration (a low-velocity event) was the sole cause of the 1996 crash of TWA Flight 800. However FAA radar sites recorded a significant spray of high-velocity debris near the jet within nine seconds of it losing electrical power. A straightforward statistical analysis of the radar data in question is presented that proves, with "8 Sigma" certainty, that a fuel-air deflagration was not the sole cause of the crash.
